Hi,
I'm starting to lay chipboard flooring in the lounge, should it be tight against the walls or should I leave an expansion gap and seal with expanding foam or something?.
Otherwise there would be a howling draught as the space below is very well ventilated.
Any advice very welcome.

you might consider insulating between the joists while you've got the floor up, and also packing fibre between the end joist and the side walls. I like the new white fibre insulation made of plastic bottles rather than glass, as it does not make irritant fibres and dust.

BTW IMO the best way to lay Chipboard Flooring is in the skip, then go out and buy some 18mm ply.
