I am paying someone to lay a fibreglass roof onto a 18mm t&g deck. He came on day one and laid all the edging and then a layer of resin onto the deck. I was concerned about it raining but he said don't worry and don't cover it up. He was coming back next day to lay the matt, resin and topcoat.
Well the heavens opened after he left and water seeped down through the cracks in the deck, through the 100mm celotex, through the 12mm ply beneath. It also crept down to the soffit under the guttering.
It probably rained a good 20 mins before it stopped and i was able to sweep the water off. So my question is, do I need to strip the top deck to let it dry out. Bear in mind the deck is covered in resin so water can't evaporate from the surface.
Very upset today!
