I have 2 bathrooms of which both have white tiles on the floor. I would like to replace the tiles with a good vinyl flooring. Is it ok to have a vinyl flooring on top of tiles as I can see that pulling up the tiles is going to be expensive and time consuming
Is something wrong with the tiles? Or do you just like linoleum better than the tiles? I think I would replace tile with tile. I'm not saying that linoleum is junk (I have it in my house), but tile is going to last longer.
If you put the line straight on top of the tiles, you'll find that the tile grout lines will show through. I'd put some hardboard down first and then the lino on top. Make sure the hardboard is nicely butted up, use some decorators caulk to help smooth out any gaps that do appear between the boards.
