Couldn't find definitive answer to this so figured I'd start a thread.
Currently redoing my girlfriends garden and the old play area that was full of bark is being paved.
The person who did it lives across the road and mentioned that he put a hardcore down before he put everything down for the bark.
My question is do I need to put more sub base down again or being as it's already quite firm can I just weed membrane and then 10:1 sams/cement and then flag.
I'm a newbie to all this so don't be too harsh
