Hello, I am about to lay an oak engineered flooring onto joist for an upstairs. I have two people tell me that it would be ok to put plaster board on top of the joists then hard board then the flooring. The joists are 55cm apart and this would save having to cut plaster board to fit between each joist. I am not sure about this. Has anybody else done this, known anybody who has or have a view?
Cheers
