Hi all,
Has anybody got any views to share on this.
I asked a question a few days ago about laying 22mm tongue and groove oak floorboards onto joists, but it turns out that I have a high-density foam floating floor. When I got the carpet up I found that the chipboard flooring is not nailed or screwed, it's just sitting on the foam floor.
So, if I remove the chipboard flooring am I good to just lay down tongue and groove floorboards on top of the high-density foam? The new floor boards will probably be about 175mm wide.
Would I need to glue the boards together, or would it be OK to just fit them togther?
Thanks
Paul
