I am fitting a new toilet and i want to tidy up the pipe work behind it.

I would like to extend the copper pipe to the left and site the stop tap on this side of the toilet. Can i easily undo the nut on the lead adapter where it hits the first tiny length of copper and then replace this with a good length of copper of about 50cm? I dont think this nut has been touched for yrs and so i am not sure if i remove would i be causing trouble for myself.

I do know the stop tap was added 3 yrs ago as the old one was weeping, but that small length of copper was left as it was.

Yes you can extend the copper but get a good grip on the central nut shaped part of that leadloc before undoing the smaller compression nut.
Can you shut the supply off before that point?

Yes i will shut the supply off in the street first. Will i need a new brass olive as well
