I know the leaf flashing along the top of the lean-to roof goes into a slot cut in the wall, down the wall a bit then dressed over the tiles, but how do you do the flashing down the side of the slop if the roof is in a corner? Looking at neighbours, I can see the lead flashing going into similar slot cut at the angle of the roof (rendered so don't need to step down with brickwork) but the lead seems to disappear under the tiles rather than on top of them?!

the lead is as you said raggled into the abutment wall then there would be a 100mm upstand, the lead then runs under the roof covering and dressed over a tile batten. this creates a concealed gutter. :)

Hi. It depends on the type of tile, traditional tiling or the large marley types.
The former are smaller and lap each other giving a thickness of three. Where the latter only lap over each other by say 3"
With traditional tiles and slates soakers are used at wall abutments, these are covered by flashing, which is chased into brick work or render.
With the other types, either a secret gutter or cover flashing is used.
The secret gutter is formed with timber under the tiles and lined with lead sheet.
The cover flashing method is simply a length of lead bent through 90 degrees with 200 mm over tiles and 100 mm up the wall. This can be weathered with a lead cover flashing or the top edge can be turned into a chase in the wall and pointed. There are a couple of video on this site check it out it may help with soakers etc. http://www.justlead.co.uk
