Does anyone know if I can paint lead flashing instead of using patination oil?

If so, is there a special paint and will I still get the white streaks running down when it rains?

I had lead flashing put on a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't treated :cry:

use a black bitumen paint , you used to use old black lead paint but thats not allowed now ...:)
