Hi I have a lead mains water supply into my house (1 inch dia) and need to connect it to a 22m copper pipe. I have seen the lead loc couplers and wondered how reliable they are and if anyone has had any issues with them. Is this the best type to use.

Has anyone had any experience with this type of coupler that can recomend them.

Cheers

AFAIK, other than wiping a lead joint onto copper, then this is the only way to join lead to copper etc.

they come in various sizes, classed as the poundage ie 7lb,8lb etc.
Cut a small section of lead off, and take to plumbers merchant etc, to get the right size.

Never had any problems with these.

How much lead have you actually got? If it is alot then now might be the time to get it replaced.
