Hi
In our house the soil stack runs horizontally in a boxed in section. The upstairs bathroom waste pipes are connected into this. I have noticed a small water leak patch on the plasterboard of the boxed in section. The soil pipe is is near impossible to access from the void (dormer roof) but I can just about see the waste water pipe where it goes into the soil pipe. It looks like a large rubber type grommet enters the soil pipe and the water pipe goes into the grommet.
Could this grommet come out causing waste to leak?
