Leak on pipe (with photos)

Hi,

There is a leak on this pipe (a fairly constant drip), can it be fixed with some sort of sealant around it and then keep an eye on it. Or does a new pipe need to be fitted, or even a new tank?

Any help appreciated.

The ballcock needs adjustment, or possibly rewashering.

Do you think a DIY'er could do this, once I get a ladder up there and look inside?

Depends on your level of skill and determination!

The (white) overflow/tank connection needs tweaking too.

Depends a bit on how many inches between tank lid and ceiling.
