Hey guys!
Noticed a leak on my kitchen ceiling coming from the bathroom above yesterday.
I was a let to get an endoscope under the floorboards through the landing space. (Bathroom is fully tiled)
And found the leak. It’s a floplast reducer. That connects the boiler to the bath waste. I also noted that the leak worsened when the bath was emptying.
which to me suggests there's not enough of a drop on the waste pipe, as well as some dodgy solvent weld maybe?
I’m going to take some ceiling away in the kitchen to get at it and get it fixed. I’ve included an image of the leak and also the pipes before they were buried.
Any suggestions? Is there a better method of
Piping this, different components you would suggest?
Obviously I want to remove as little ceiling as possible but I also want to make sure it’s done right and this doesn’t happen again!
Thanks in advance guys!
Dean
