I'd take the thing to the shop to make sure. And smear the new O-ring with silicone grease.View attachment 206155
OK, that was easy enough. It needed a flat screwdriver rather than an allen key, and I spent most time looking for a screwdriver short enough to fit between the tap and the wall...
Now to get replacement seals.... there is no name anywhere that I can see, so I guess I’ll try to measure the slot and buy by size.
Thanks, Phil.
I would guess they probably are. And did you grease them?View attachment 207017
Here are the new 14 x 3mm O-rings fitted. They are a good fit to the depth and width of the slots.
It does not push easily back into the body of the tap. It’s not easy to push because of the position - am I going to have to remove the tap from the sink?
I think when I have got it a mm in, the O-ring has been forced out and rides up. Are the O-rings too big?
Thanks!
did you grease them?
Did that do the biz?I’ve fitted 12 x 2.5mm o-rings and it fits nicely.
Anyone need any 3mm o-rings, 12/13/14mm ?
Thanks all.
