Hello, sorry if there's an obvious answer to this.

I'm trying to repack a leaking radiator valve but when I remove the spindle cover I can't see a nut (see photograph) - it's a fairly old radiator and I'm just trying to patch before replacing and want to avoid draining the system if possible.

Is it possible to repack this style of valve?

Thanks

Difficult to tell fro the picky, but if the part at the bottom of the stem (with the flats machined in it) will turn, you should be able to re-pack the gland.

I doubt it is a re-packable gland more likely an O ring, I wouldn't waste time just replace it.
