Hi,

Just a quick question...I have leaking radiator valve on the bathroom rad,I have a combi boiler and as I will need to replace the valve just wondering whats the best way to go about this, does the system need to be drained or do I just switch of water at the mains?

Any advice greatly appreciated...

Iwould just release the pressure at a drain cock, close drain cock and
snatch it
but get a like for like new valve to hand first
you should be ok

Drain system until pressure drops to zero.

Turn off both radiator valves and undo connection to radiator slowly, draining the radiator as you go.

Remove valve, replace with new and open up rad valves again.

Check for leaks then re pressurise and check for leaks again.

Run CH and bleed radiator if required.
