The soil pipe in my bathroom, in a cabinet behind the WC cistern, has a leaking connection between two horizontal pipes. In the image below the white pipe connects into the grey pipe, circled in red to show the leaking connection. It's wet to the touch underneath the connection. Is this type of connection correct, and is there any simple fix that can resolve the leak? I've pushed the white pipe as far as I can into the grey pipe.

Appreciate any advice from more experienced people than myself.

Looks like you've put the finned end of the Pan Connector into a socket, it needs to go into the spigot end of a 110mm pipe, to ensure a snug, watertight, fit. Not sure if you'll be able to put a short section of pipe into the Socket, or if the Gasket will be too far gone to seal it.
