Hi fellows...

I have a leaking STOP COCK in the kithen any ideas of how to stop the leak without replacing it...? It looks like a very old stop cock probably from the 60's when the house was built...
If one needs to replace can anyone point me in the direction - would love to do it myself..

Many thanks

Where is it leaking from?
Is it at the joints either side, or from the spindle? :D

I take it when you say spindle you mean the tap on the stop cock? if so, then yes that's where the leak is coming from.

Try tightening the gland nut under the spindle.
If this does not work , turn off the water, undo the gland nut and pack inside with some ptfe.
Refit and turn water back on. :D
