Slow drip from stop cock...

Hi,

I have a slow drip from the stop cock on the rising main in my house.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to stop the dripping without replacing the stop cock? Is there anything that can be applied that will stop the drip without jamming it?

If the stop cock needs to replaced, I'll either call in a plumber or live with it...
