Hi, I had a normal flouresent tube light in and tube went so I thought time to upgrade to LED lights.
I bought a LED double tube light but although polarity is fine and fitted fine it keeps tripping rcd and blowing unternal fuse .
Frustrating .

Any help appreciated.

What kind of fitting is it? Did you have to bypass the control gear or did you insert a “fake starter” and just swap the tube?

If the latter, you did swap it didn’t you? And the former, you sure you got it all right? Trapped an internal cable putting it back together?

There was no need for starter as bought a new unit. It was a straight swap with L N and E wires into conector which had a 3amp fuse.
What do you mean bypass control gear?

I think he thinks you put LED tunes into the existing light.

If you replaced the whole thing, why stick with tube-shaped emitters?
