We are doing the front room up and its quite a noisy room (Mid terraced main road, Noisy neighbours single brick party walls)

So I want to make the room as sound proof as possible and with that add more heat insulation.

We are getting quotes on new a new door and window and im going to ask them about sound reduction but what about the walls? Im thinking of foam backed plasterboard on front wall and noisyest neighbour party wall (Between chimney).

What about the floor as its a front terraced room it is floor boards with about a four foot gap to soil stuff. I was thinking about the fibre boards you lay and then a laminate floor.

Any tips please pros?
