Hi all

Ive made a mistake in priming no more ply cement boards to make them more water resistant out doors

Problem is II perimed them fine but Ive let them dry out - didnt realise you prime just before tiling - muppet

Would sanding down and roughing up the surface and doing again before tililing be OK do you think

Thanks

Just use some medium grit sandpaper (around 120-150 grit) to scuff the surface, but don't remove the primer completely just enough to create a bit of texture.

After sanding, I recommend applying a fresh layer of primer before you start tiling.

Once the primer is dry, you can go ahead with your tiling.

OP,
No need for doing anything, your "cement boards" are good to go - just start tiling.
Use an external, cementitious, bagged powder adhesive - comb the boards and butter the back of the tile.
