Level threshold detail

In my opinion the whole detail should be redrawn, but the dpm should lap with the wall dpc as recommended by Bld Regs and NHBC.

I would have to respectfully disagree with that. Lapped with the inner leaf DPC yes or just brought up vertically and trimmed off once the screed has gone off, not lapped to the outer leaf. As it's draw if any water tracks under the door sill or down the reveals it could run down into the insulation and floor slab.

Thats what I thought -its not the same as lapping onto inner blockwork with a cavity.

I would tend to stop the inner blockwork at the top of the concrete slab, then run the insulation across

The detail is fundamentally wrong, not to scale, the wall cavity disappears towards the floor level, the principle of dpm lapping with wall dpc should apply to provide a continuous barrier against water, but the whole thing should be redesigned. Anyway ,shouldn't it be approved by Building Control ? A good example of why it is best to submit drawings for bld regs approval before starting work on site ! Insulation can be below or above slab ,there are details on internet giving recommendations for level thresholds and water ingress , but this isn't a true level access. All a bit odd!

As this is obviously already built at least as far as the photos show, I presume you don't want to start again with the floor. I have a couple of standard threshold details ( near enough to your situation to show how dpc/dpm should be arranged ) that I could scan in and post on here if you are still interested and haven't finished it.
