Hi there
Our tiny kitchen has predominantly a wooden floor with a small patch of concrete just in front of where kitchen cabinets will be.
We had someone put plywood over the wood and then levelling compound over the concrete with the idea of having the two surfaces be same height.
Unfortunately the levelling compound was a tiny bit off and the fitter tried applying a second layer by scraping it on (I know). Result: slight undulation. I've sanded it but still not perfectly flat. We're talking small amounts.
We're thinking of having an Amtico click smart floating floor and I am weighing up the options:
- Take a hammer/chisel to the compound and start again (annoying prospect)
- Keep sanding (may be a waste of time)
- Pay a professional to come in and give his opinion on best practice.
Anyone had experience with this kind of thing? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
