Hi all

I am planning on having my garden levelled as it's a mess, and then re-grass it for now, until I decide how to landscape it

It's about 15m long by 8m wide, mainly grasses with some random slabs.

Would the best thing to use be a mini digger?

It depends how high the high bits are and how low the low etc you really haven't given any idea of what needs done.

If you are actually moving earth from one side to another rather than re-grading it then you definatly want a machine in there. You would be amazed at what a digger can do in a day. If you can fit it past house etc a 3T type size would be best, the micro ones can be harder to use.

If it's more a case of leveling a few humps and bumps then lift anything hard and hire a good rotovater, that will break it up enough to allow easy regrading.

1. Get a skip, throw all rubbish from garden into skip.
2. Hire a 'man with digger' he can be there all day digging and moving earth around.

Then you can have a 'clean/flat' canvas to work from. (and all done in one weekend)

OR do it by hand and it will take forever with the wife giving you ear ache and you getting bored with it.
