Hi All, we've noticed our Leylandii hedge is going brown. Please see photo. Reading RHS, it appears we made an error in trimming it in during the recent hot dry spell.

Given the privacy and security it provides we cannot afford for it to die. Apart from watering and compost/mulch can anyone offer any advice to keep it alive and healthy?

Thanks in advance.

Pray?

Seriously, a lot of plants/shrubs/trees have suffered in this long hot spell and I’d expect them to recover in the autumn.
