Like most, I have a number of half used paint tins in the garage from pat decorating jobs, keep as a just in case something needs touching up.

Anyone any idea how long paint will keep for? All the tins are well sealed, mixture of gloss and emulsion.

Just opened a tine of gloss and once I removed the thick skin and gave it a good stir, it seemed fine

If it's like that, thats ok. Usually when the pigments and stuff stuff have settled and gone hard and when stirred you get a gooey lump on the end of your stick.. ooh  lol

Thats when its fked....

good luck ;)

N NO NO - Bin it @ the correct recycling facility. Paint aint wot it used to be  After 2 generations of decorators,( Dad+ his Dad) I used to keep all tins until I got caught by the " modern" formula of a gloss  Had to power sand the Crappy finish right off and start with new . My garage is totally devoid of old paint now !...Times move on.
