Light switch and telly

hi,
some times when i turn the back kitchen light on (fluorescent tube) my telly goes off for 2 or 3 seconds, its only started to happen recently. What could be causing this?

That's a puzzle!
From what circuit is the light supplied?
If you remove fuse or open circuit that the TV is on, does the light go off?

Does the TV turn off completely or does sound and or vision freeze or dis-appear ? The surge of the lamp starting might be causing corruption to the digital TV signal from the aerial and the TV's digital deoder is losing synch for a few seconds.
