The screw attaching the light switch itself to the wall (the white plastic part) turns with my screwdriver but doesn't move out. How can I remove it? Thanks!
Same way you'd remove any screw when a stripped thread stops it unscrewing - get something behind it, or behind what it holds in place, and apply some outward force whilst turning it.
If one of them will come out it shouldn't be to hard to get something thin between the switch and the wall to act as a lever.
Is this a surface mounted box, that the switch is mounted on, if so, occasionally the threaded bush spins, that can be hard to get the screw out, if BAS way fails you may have to break the box up
