Light wiring help

Hi the light fitting in our living room started to play up last week. The light went out then came back on and was ok for about an hour and did the same again the next night it went out and didn't come back on . Today I thought I'd investigate was a little confused by what I came across ( please see picture ) is this correct? I don't understand why the 2 red wires are wired this way

One cable brings power to the location. In that cable the red is Live and the black is Neutral


The other cable takes the Live to the switch on the red, the black in that cable brings the Switched Live back from the switch.

The lamp is connected to Neutral and Switched Live

Or connect another light fitting!
