Fellas in the throws of replacing my bathroom xtractor and have found that the 1mm twin and earth supplying it they are using cpc as supply for the s/l to fan unit
Thoughts appreciated as doesn't seen good practice to me Tia

not good practice anyhow
not familiar with bs7671 but i would be surprised if its permitted
it's certainly not allowed here

Where is this installation? your post is in electrics outside the UK but your profile says you are in the UK.

The CPC in twin and earth is only single insulated so using it as a live conductor is definately not on.

Using an uninsulated conductor as a live conductor (live being live or neutral) is not allowed. The CPC in twin and earth is sheathed but not insulated.
