Just visiting my daughter & she wanted a ceiling fan removed & replaced with a light.
I have what I thought was the switched live & the red pair for the loop & the black pair for loop.
I have a red wire that has no bare end or is tapped over, I do not know if it broke or was just left lose.
I can get the light to come on & not switch. If I connect what should have been the switch return nothing happens.
I have no metre & whilst I took a picture it isn't showing much.
Any suggestions...ONLY GOT 30 MINS
Thanks

I have 3 pair of twin & earth, 1 pair is 2 reds & it dosnt look like sleeving, could this be the switched live & feed

I would say the t&e with two pairs of reds will be the switch wires.
So given that
The other two reds with one of the above reds in live loop.
Two blacks to neutral terminal of light
Left over red to live of light
The CPCs to earth terminal.

Only God knows why you are taking on this task without a simple multi-meter!
30 minutes, long time dead.....................

What conductor colours do you have at the switch - 2 reds or red and black?
