Lights off radial in garage

I have a radial circuit (2.5mm sq) into garage and workshop serving 2 x double and 1 x single sockets Total length of cable 8m. I am going to run a spur off to a 5A switched spur unit for 2 x lights in the garage and 1 x light in the workshop.
Can I wire for both lights from the one switched spur? Or, do they need to be separate switched spurs? I plan to use 1.5mm sq for the lighting.

Assuming that the radial is properly protected in the CU to take the additional loads, yes, you can spur off the radial to power all the lights. However, you must protect the 1.5mm cables with a 5A fuse at the point that the 1.5mm cable joins the 2.5mm. ie, fit a FCU, which doesn't need to be switched, unless you want all 3 lights to illuminate simultaneously with no other switches in the circuit. Take the spur from the back of any of the sockets.

Thanks for the reply. My terminology is wrong. You are correct a fused connection unit ids the answer and of course I do not need a switch because the lights will be independant.
I have peace of mind to progress now ... cheers
