Hello all,
Since that icy blast that we had a few weeks ago my garden wall, which is about two years old, has a white powdery patch on the brickwork. I tried giving a good wash with a pressure cleaner but it's too stubborn for that.
Is there a safe way to remove it chemically.
I have quite a few grand-kids plus the neighbours children so I don't want to use anything that would affect their well-being.

Thanks for all help.

If it is efflorescence,it will eventually weather off. Do not try to wash it off with water - you will make it worse.

It is a result of dissolved salts rising to the surface as the water dries out.

You can try a stiff dry brush if you want but be careful not to abrade the bricks or mortar. Time will do it.
