I decided to give the kitchen cupboard doors a new look. They are solid oak frame with a panel insert that has oak facing. I sanded off the old varnish and got, what I considered to to be, an even finish. I followed the instructions on the tin which said to paint on, leave for 15 minutes then polish with a soft cloth. The finish looked like it had been whitewashed very badly. What did I do wrong??? I used the Ronseal Lime Wax.
