Hi. I'm thinking of having the loft converted. The only problem - I think - is how to keep rain out from the new ceilings. The slate tiles are on wooden battens with no felt underneath. Does it need the tiles removing, then felting? Thanks.

If you want your roof felted then yes it the only way but you have to allow tiles breakage
