Please see attached pictures, after 3 years of ignoring it I tackled the garage. Rather than try and fudge a bad job, I decided to build a new roof over the existing.

The garage was built with parapet walls front and back, the front parapet wall was built directly on to the timber head of the garage door frame which rotted and snapped, the rear parapet wall had been removed prior ro us buying the bungalow which aided the constant rain driven flooding of the garage!

The garage is single skin brick, but is does have buttress piers so that's a win! I need to put a lintel above the garage door frame and rebuild the wall, the wall will be built to mirror the slope of the new roof, so the load amounts to 30 bricks at the most on the lintel, the load of the roof is taken by the roof joists.

I've looked at Catnic single leaf lintels but for the size I require 2700mm the upstand will interfere with the roof line on the lowest point of the roof, I've looked at reinforced concrete lintels 100x65x2700 and am wondering if these are "man" enough for the minimal load?

It's fair to mention I haven't got a clue about Lintels, can you assist please?
