Hi

Have a radiator not heating up. All others work fine and I’ve freed the pin in the TRV but this is the lockshield valve. Do I need a key to try and open it as it looks like it doesn’t have a spindle on. Tried gripping with an adjustable but won’t budge.

Thanks in advance

Just use an adjustable? Can’t get it to budge. Tried turning it both ways doesn’t seem to move. Might work with a key

No key needed ,just a spanner on the square end of the spindle.
If it won't turn with a decent length spanner ( 8-10 inch long) it must be seized and needs replacing.

Always had issues with it but it’s in a room that’s kind of just used as pass through up to the loft so I’ve never really needed it but figured it’s there it should be working. I’ll try a little bit of wd40 in it. I think it’s every likelihood it’s seized
