Loft Boarding...?

Hi Guys,


I intend to put boards down in my loft - pretty much the standard type of loft, with an apex - it wont be used for walking on, only storage.

Beams that hold the ceiling are about 4-6in in height by about 2/3in wide.
Rather than going to local DIY store, i got hold of a good few of:

For nothing - are these adequate to use? Each room underneath has an average area of 12ftx12ft.
