Hi,

We would ideally like to convert our loft in order to make an extra bedroom & bathroom. The problem is that the height of the pitch is extremely low (I am 5' 4" and can't stand up straight in the middle).

Therefore, I assume the only way round this would be have new roof & raise the pitch. We are end terraced (row of three house) and because we are built on a hill the pitch of our roof is lower than our neighbours. If we were to raise the pitch to meet theirs, I think the height would be more than enough.

Does anyone know if this would be feasible please, or would planning permission not be given to raise the height of roof?

The house was built in the early 80s, has a trussed roof and is in Bath, Somerset.

Many thanks.
