Hi,
I have attempted to get the info i need from other threads but I cannot seem to find what I need.
Can someone help? The loft in my house was converted when the house was built in 1982. We have lived here for 3 years! I want to start using the loft space as a bedroom for my eldest but I have noticed that the insulation behind the plaster board is only 50 mm Cellotex. I have read that it should be nearer 150 mm. The rafters are 100 mm deep and so there is a 50 mm air gap and then the insulation. I want it to be warm in winter and cool in summer. Can anyone tell me what the spec should be? I am prepared to rip all the plaster board out and start from scratch.
Is this enough detail?
