Orite guys, hoping to get abit of advice in regards to insulating my loft.

Plan is to replace the old rock wool with a multi foil type product and then board over the top for storage space.
The problem I have is that the loft floor/ ceiling only covers so much of the house then the roof itself makes up the rest of the ceiling area with a 100mm cavity, this is on 3 sides of the house. Was hoping someone would have any suggestions on how to insulate that space. Do I try slide down some PIR type board or pour in some sort of loose fill product?

In hindsight I should have got the roofers to insulate that bit when I got a new roof. Oh well.

Cheers

You have to do it properly and you will need air flow from soffit up to ridge to stop condensation.
Then if you use loft for storage you will have problems with floor bending because of weight.
It's not a good idea tbh

Be wary of multifoil. It has been a controversial product with claim and counter-claim about its effectiveness.

One less-obvious thing to consider is that you rock wool will give more sound proofing.

If I were you, I’d tidy up the existing insulation and consider boards on legs.

Bit of a mess up there - do your self a favour and get one of these before you start clearing it

Yes 100% missed the opportunity when you had a new roof.
I have something similar but not so long. I used 25mm PIR with a 50mm x50mm pir batten along its length which then made sure that it kept pushed onto the plaster board as it was 75mm which was the gap height. I have soffit vent - the continuous type not just round holes so I made sure the PIR did not cover them, it butts up to the inner brick leaf
