I need some help. I live in a 3 story terraced house. The house is approx 110 years old, and appears that it was converted into 3 stories at an early age. I have been left with a very small loft space (approx 24" in height) that is split into 4 compartments around 2 chimneys.

My issue is that I have no insulation, and cannot physically get up into some areas of loft due to the small crawl space. This means that I cannot use the top floor for 4/5 months of the year because it is so cold.

Are there any solutions? I have been told that there are some companies that will "blow" foam/insulation into the loft space, but I have been struggling to find any in my area (Newcastle-upon-Tyne)

Can anyone help/point me in the right direction?

All help much appreciated!

Thanks

What size/volume/shape are the voids? A photo or two might help. If you have no other option, remove plasterboard, install insulation, refit new boards, skim & paint.
