Hi

I would like to improve the insulation in my loft - it's a "warm roof" with thin insulation between the rafters but i also want to lay blanket insulation between the joists.

Problem is, there is chip/ply board glued and nailed to the joists so i'm thinking i need to take it all up before i can start?

Is there an easy way of doing this? Can i re-use the boards or will i need to completely re-board once it's done?

Any advice would be muchly appreciated.

Cheers

if the t+g joints are glued they will break off when you lift the floor i'm afraid
looks like new flooring if you want to insulate between the joists.
