Hello all,

In the middle of 'grand design' project (or at least that's what i like to call it) but can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I've been advised by BC to insulate with kingspan and then multifoil insulation over it. In the picture below do i take the insulation all the way to the top of the ridge or do i bring it across the wooden support (where the down lights will be fitted) leaving the an open space above? Also do i insulate all the way down to the wall plate or do i only insulate what will effectively be the room insulating the dwarf walls?
Any advice would be much appreciated as i seem to be spending more time looking for how to's than actually doing work.
Thanks,
Rich

You would normally use 3 layers of rockwool at the flat bit forming the ceiling though you could in theory carry your roof insulation up the slope to the ridge.

As for the walls at the base:
