Give us a f-ing clue 
Where are you taking the supply for switched fused connection unit from and what sort of light fitting is it.
You would normally downfuse the Switched FCU 3A amps is normally enough for one light.
Normal procedure would be to:
Wire the FCU so you have your supply side terminals wired correctly from you incoming supply. live to live the live terminal, neutral to neutral, then the same with your load side which will be the light. 1.00mm2 T&E cable should be okay between the FCU and the light fitting
Connect all earths to the earth terminal within the accessory.
Then at you light fitting, Live to Live terminal, neutral to neutral and earth to the earth terminal.
This is a standard procedure, but we may need a little more explaination on what exactly you are doing.
