Our house has 8mm microbore connecting under the first floor
to 22mm flow & return pipes serving all the rads.
In our ground floor single storey extension ive got a double radiator (1000x500)
which ive ‘teed’ of the adjacent dining room rad with 8mm microbore.
As you can imagine the new rad does not get very hot!

Ive located the 22mm flow & return pipes on the landing and plan to
Tap into these and install a new dedicated run to the rad in the extension.
This is approx 14m away along my intended pipe run! (28m there & back!)
Is it wise to use 15mm throught the new run all the way to the rad?
I presume 8mm or 10mm microbore would not give sufficient flow rates.
Ive already got 8mm microbore that I can re-use which covers approx 6m at end of the run.
Could I tap of the 22mm in 15mm pipe and then run this 8m
length to where I can connect To the existing 8mm microbore?
Thus making 8m run of 15mm into 6m run of 8mm to rad.
This would be much easier than adding a whole new 15mm pipe run.

Thanks in advance.
