We went here a couple of years ago.
As it was four-plus (and we took the kids out of school, a couple of days early), it was neither rammed, nor scuttered-up.
Hotel was really very nice, food was very good (bettered catered than lower stars, where it is literally chips-with-everything).
Hot pool, cold pool, kids pool, pool-with-slides, etc etc.
Weather was also very decent.
Evening entertainment was very good - not at all your tatto'ed bingo fayre - acrobats, magicians (with VERY tidy assistants
); decent, really.
Only slight downside (which I thought was an upside) was that, being in the south, it was overcast (but very warm) until about four in the afternoon. SWMBO had a face on her about this but, as we had a five and ten yr old with us, I saw it as blessed respite for their hides
Additionally, you can get some very good prices, if you are lucky, and hold your nerve - a couple we were talking to got a week, all-in, for less that £250 each
