Hi,

As a long time lurker, since possibly 2005 or so, I finally have a question I can't find in the posts here or anywhere else. This site has done me well :)

Basically, I need a replacement bolt for an M8 35mm long, but with a 10 wrench head - it might be a high tensile bolt - tbh I would not know. Having looked around this seems like such an off size that I am not sure they can be gotten anywhere.

Thanks,

Pop

M8 bolts, as you probably know, have a 13mm hex head in the UK.
However, it's a more common size used in Japanese car and bike engines.
These are often flanged as to include a washer.
Maybe an ebay search would be the way forward - or would an Allen head suffice?
John :)

You're right - M8s ordinarily have a 13mm head. I happen to have an offsized one I need to replace, which slots into a space where I can't manoeuvre with the wrench if its 13mm. So no Allen heads sadly.

I looked around but these dont seem to be available through normal channels including ebay.
