Looking for a back box like this that has the oval cutouts, but deeper. Old house with oval trunking, one of the switch box needs replacing.

They're not for oval conduit.

The knockouts are like that because the box is only 16mm deep and that's all that can be fitted on the sides - and the back is the same with grommets to fit.

Oval conduit will fit in a normal 20mm. knockout - if you need to have it enter the box.
